Interim Communications Coordinator

Reports to: Creative and Communications Pastor
Schedule: Part-time, 27 hours non-exempt


The Interim Communications Coordinator will serve the church as the Communications Department’s main point-of-contact for all Communications projects with the goal of fostering excellent communication with the congregation via print and digital resources.

Weekly Communication Vehicles —50%

  • Set up and schedule web post announcements and produce two weekly publications: eNews (emailed newsletter) and the Newsbreak (printed newsletter); edit content and design graphics, if needed
  • Create weekly PowerPoint announcement slide set to run during the week in the Well/Library and a pre-service set to run on Sundays
  • Maintain updated website and EvFree App

Departmental Support / Production — 50%

  • Produce churchwide branded collateral (including banners, handouts, all church letters, etc.)
  • Set up digital content (webpages, Facebook posts/event page)
  • Work with contracted designers to create digital and collateral pieces
  • Coordinate with other staff regarding their communication efforts
  • Work with print production vendors to produce collateral and large format pieces
  • Communicate with volunteer photographers about event photography needs
