Find God

Romans Road

We call this the “Romans Road” because we follow a path of verses found in the New Testament book of Romans. These verses help explain what it means to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There are other verses and passages in both the Old and New Testaments where God explains His love for us, and His desire to walk with us through life. Walk this “Roman Road” and then let us know if we can answer any questions.

To experience true meaning in life, you have to follow these road signs:

First you must stop on the road that you're traveling. Most likely, you're on the wrong one anyway. The reason we are on the wrong road is simply because of what the Bible calls sin. Sin is living a life apart from God, living in disobedience and not honoring Him. "For all have sinned and fall short of God's glory." (Romans 3:23)

Our lives are separated from God because of sin, and sin left unchecked will lead to the ultimate wrong way, which is death. Death is not only a physical separation but also a spiritual separation from God. "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)

How do we come to have this life with God? We need to take a different road. We need to recognize that He has given us not only a new road but also a new driver. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Since God gave Christ to die for our sins, we need to choose which way we want to go: our own road or God's. If we choose God's road, then we need to believe in Christ as our Lord and Savior. "That if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
