What is Alpha?
- Authentic Christianity discussed in simple, understandable terms.
- Life-changing, practical insights into God's reason for making you.
- Probing with others in an informal, interactive setting.
- Having a great meal with some thoughtful, like-minded friends.
- Asking whatever you want; no question is too simple, hostile, or "off-the-wall."
Who is Alpha?
- Adults of all ages and beliefs
- People who feel more interested in God than in church
- People with little or no religious background
- People raised in church who want to re-examine what they believe
- People who want to clarify what the bible says about "true spirituality"
- Anyone curious to investigate or challenge the claims of basic Christianity
What happens at Alpha?
Each evening begins with a great, inexpensive meal in a casual setting.
Dinner is followed by a lively talk on topics such as:
- How can I connect more personally with God?
- Is Christianity even relevant?
- What happens after we die?
- Is the Bible believable?
- Can we know in advance where we will spend eternity?
- If God is so loving, why is life so difficult?
When & Where?
ALPHA meets twice per year: in April and in September. The next session will begin September 23, 2008. Each session is
for ten weeks and meets on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. in NC190.
