Local Outreach
Outreach Ministry
In our local outreach ministry, we desire for all Christians to experience
the joy of being used by God in sharing the good news of the gospel with
people around them. In seeking to facilitate this, we focus our outreach
into six main areas:
Prayer Evangelism Praying for
those who need to know Christ, as well as for those sharing the gospel
with others.
Presence Evangelism Performing
service and acts of kindness, hoping to open doors to the gospel.
Personal Evangelism Building
of relationships with those who don't know Christ, building trust and
interest in a relationship with Christ.
Proclamation Evangelism Proclaiming
the gospel message.
Persuasion Evangelism Addressing
the worldviews opposed and objections to the Christian faith.
Planting Evangelism Planting
of new churches, ministries, and services with evangelism as a core
value
Family Fix-It Day
This is a once a month ministry (the third Saturday of each month) whereby
teams of volunteers from our church form groups and to go out to different
homes to provide services such as yard work, house cleaning, and minor
repair work for senior adults, the disabled, widows, shut-ins, single
parents, and others of our church family who are in need.
This is a great opportunity for volunteers of all ages to participate
in serving others. Remember, this opportunity comes every third Saturday
of the month, so please call early to be matched with one of our service
projects.

Maple Elementary Tutoring
Our church has adopted Maple Elementary School in South Fullerton. This
ministry serves children in an at-risk school in a needy neighborhood.
There are currently 40 tutors who are making a difference in the life
of a child by volunteering for one hour (once or twice a week) to teach
one-on-one by assisting with homework and providing additional instruction.
All teaching material is provided-reading/math packets and reading text.
Can you spare an hour each week? If so please contact Jessica Humes, 714.447.7590, , to learn more about becoming a tutor.
Thanksgiving Dinner Outreach
It has been the tradition for the past 10 years to hold an annual Thanksgiving
feast on Thanksgiving Day in various churches and/or public venues in
order to provide food and clothing to the community in need.
This year we were able to serve 2,200 dinners at Maple Elementary School.
There were 225 turkeys purchased and cooked by volunteers. Clothing and
500 bags of groceries were donated by church members and distributed as
part of the Thanksgiving outreach.
Volunteer sign-ups to participate in this event take place each October.
