Join Alexandra and Don Flecky as they pilot the new “Mastering the Mysteries of Christian Love," the Christian adaptation of a nationally-recognized couple communication skills program. They’ve created a streamlined six-week class for couples to learn to communicate in new ways, learn to listen and understand each other, and to “speak the truth in love.”
In class, you will practice communication skills privately with your partner using topics from your own relationship. Fun, short, home practice assignments are included. The result is a deeper understanding of each other and a stronger relationship. This practical class is fun and "male-friendly." We welcome all couples seeking to improve their relationship. Every couple will benefit, whether seriously dating or married for over 50 years!
Topics include:
Speaking the Truth in Love
Listening with Empathy
Understanding Each Other
Managing Conflict
Changing Everyday Communication Habits
NOTE: After completion of the class, you are invited to attend free follow-up sessions, including Practical Problem Solving and Forgiveness/Apology. Details will be announced in class.

The Third Option is a weekly marriage enrichment program, good for all marriages, and offers help and hope to distressed couples and couples who are considering (or have filed) for divorce. Both spouses don’t have to attend—it will help even if one person wants to work on the relationship.
If you could use some help (in the form of learning useful skills) and some hope (in the form of a support group, and by hearing actual couples tell their stories of how they came through tough marital struggles), then we invite you to attend The Third Option!
The class cycles through 14 different relationship topics, one per week. Each person/couple can begin on any Tuesday night; there is no start or end date. This class is free and open to all—church attenders, general public, friends, co-workers, neighbors, extended family—and meets on Tuesday nights, from 7-9 p.m. at Maple School, Multipurpose Room. Each participant makes a commitment to confidentiality within the group. Call Don (714.240.4245 for men) or Alexandra (714.240.4046 for women) if you have any questions. |
