Furniture & Household Items Needed

Now. Spring semester has begun at our local colleges and with it we find many new students scrambling to furnish empty apartments. We are particularly in need of desks, bookshelves, tables, and chairs to deliver to them. Bicycles are also in demand as well as simple household items like irons and ironing boards, lamps, dishes, silverware, glasses, pots and pans, etc. If you have something you think we can use and would like to help us warmly welcome a new student with the love of Christ, please contact Hans Bletterman at 714.504.3276 or .

Food Fund

Ongoing. Our Food fund is in need of these items: canned soup and vegetables, beef stew, chili, baked beans, canned fruit, tuna, jelly, mac and cheese, noodles and spaghetti sauce. Please bring food donations on Sunday mornings and place them in the large gray bins located throughout the campus and near the elevator in the parking structure. Thank you for your generous participation in the Food Fund ministry!

One-On-One-For-One

Ongoing. A visitation ministry open to singles, couples and families who wish to visit a member of the community who is homebound. The volunteers are committed to visiting this person once a month and calling them twice a month for a period of one year. We are in partnership with assisted-living and skilled nursing facilities within a 5-mile radius of our church—part of our intentional desire to be externally focused. Alongside Ministry (memorial service coordinators)

Ongoing. Contact Bambi Encarnacion if you feel called to walk alongside grieving families by assisting in coordinating details for the memorial service of their loved one. 714.257.4314, or .  

Good Samaritan Center

Ongoing. The Good Samaritan Center is open Monday through Friday, 4:15-5:15 pm to serve our church and community with emergency food, shelter, medical, car repair and more. Contact LaDona Peterson at .

Data Entry Volunteers Needed

Ongoing. The Good Samaritan Center urgently needs help any day, Monday through Friday, from 4:15–5:15 P.M. in NC-100. The software is easy to use/learn and training is provided. Contact Rick Stanford at .

Clothes Closet

Ongoing.The Clothes Closet is open during operating times for the Good Samaritan Center, M-F, 4:15-5:15 to serve our church and community.
