The Divorce Care Workshop is a ministry devised and directed by divorced people for those who may be somewhere in the process of a divorce or separation.

If you find yourself in this process, we want to provide a safe, supportive environment in which you may grow to become a more healthy person. The format includes material relating to the process of divorce, separation and recovery. A few of the weekly topics include:

  • Anger
  • Depression
  • Loneliness
  • Forgiveness
  • Healing
  • New Relationships

Divorce Care is an eleven-week workshop which is held twice a year.

You can expect to find a sharing, caring, supportive and informative atmosphere. You will also find Christ-centered leaders who care about your growth process. The Divorce Recovery Team expects your faithful attendance and commitment to your own healing process.

About four weeks before the start of the Divorce Care class, registration forms may be obtained at the Single Parents/Friends Becoming Family Fellowship’s weekly meetings or by calling the church office at 714.529.5544. The form must be filled out and mailed to the church office in order to guarantee the applicant a place in the class.

If you’re a single parent, you’re probably tired, overwhelmed and feeling a bit underappreciated.  That’s why we created Single & Parenting groups—to share tips and parenting wisdom that will help you find rest, hope and encouragement.
At a Single & Parenting group you’ll participate in video seminars that explain how to:

  • Wisely encourage your kids to obey
  • Help your hurting child
  • Eliminate debt
  • Deal with verbal onslaughts
  • Figure out what your emotions are telling you

Plus, you’ll develop meaningful friendships with other single parents who, like you, are tired of hectic mornings and chaotic evenings, the kids fighting, and a never-ending to-do list.

Take the guesswork of parenting alone.  Come join our class.

Where: NC multipurpose room

DC4K is a special group to help your children ages 6–12 heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce. It provides your children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings.

For thirteen weeks your children become involved with a fun, caring group of volunteers who create a healing community for them to thrive. The weekly session topics help your children learn that God’s love strengthens them and helps them turn their sadness to hope and their anger to joy.

Each session is filled with motivating and exciting activities. Games, crafts, role playing, discussion times, journaling and workbooks help your children process the divorce and move forward in their lives. The music CDs, snacks, read-aloud stories, exercises and Bible verses teach your children to relax and rest secure in God’s love. Children look forward to each time their “DC4K family” gets together. Start your children on the road to healing today!
