The team arrived safely back in Fullerton at about 12:45am.  They seemed to all be in good health and ready for some sleep and family time.  The Lord upheld them and blessed them all.  Hopefully, we'll get a quick recap for the website from Tristan or Scott in the next couple of days. Thank you for all of your prayers, love and support.

Parents,

If you want to track the flight from JFK to LAX, you can use the link below. I understand that the flight that will bring them to LAX originated in France and is delayed, but I don't know how much it is delayed.
On the link, enter 137 in the flight status form. The link is actually for the flight from Kiev to JFK, but you can enter a different flight number. You may have to copy/paste the link rather than click on it.

We have made it back to L'viv.  Our hotel is nice and very European.  We had a good breakfast, then took a tour of the city.  Tonight we meet together to debrief.  We all had a taste of the USA since there is a McDonald's in town.  This is a beautiful city.  Please keep praying for us.

We just finished day three of our service projects in Lutsk.  We had three groups, all going to different place: a Ukrainian orphanage, a Baptist church and a park next to the YWAM office. We have been playing with kids and running a short VBS.  This week we have worked a lot with the missionaries from YWAM.  We are all doing good.  Tonight is our final night in Lutsk and we are having wood oven pizza for dinner.  Tomorrow after our service projects we leave for L'viv for our debrief.  Keep praying.

This has been my first oppurtunity to get to a computer so I will make this quick. We just ended our second day in Lutsk city and our time with God's Design church. We spent all day yesterday seeing the city. They have a long history here. We visited a castle that they were very proud of. You could tell tell that the Ukranian youth were very excited to show us their pride and joy.

This morning we went to their church service and we packed it out. We had a great time because the entire service was desgined to give the church a taste of our camp. We sang our songs, did our camp dance. Zach Arnold got up and gave a testiomony of how the camp had impacted them. We were excited to see many of the campers at the church service that had never attended before. Now we are headed off to lunch.

Tonight we will get a briefing from a YWAM missionary who will be taking us to an orphanage and our youth work for this week. We will be leading a time of camps and a very basic VBS this week. We are excited for a different kind of ministry and a somewhat more relaxed schedule.

All the students are doing very well. They are keeping postive attitudes about everything, even when things don't go right.

Thanks for all of your prayers..

Text Message received today at 11:39am:

We arrived in Lutsk today. We are staying in a nice hotel; much nicer than the camp. We are meeting the youth from the Ukraine church and getting a tour of the whole town tomorrow. We had a great time as a team tonight doing a debriefing of our time at the camp. It was a hard but good time for our students. Tonight we get to go to bed early. Yeah!

We just ended our last night at camp.  Our students have enjoyed building relationships with the Ukrainian students and tonight was filled with pictures with friends.  Tonight Scott and Yura ended their talk with “decision making night.”  There were 22 Ukrainians that made decisions for Christ.

Everyone is healthy and doing great!

Day 5:  Camp can be summed up in one statement:  Fish head soup. Oh boy!  At least it still had potatoes in it.  Students will take a break from teaching tomorrow for lake games.  Pray for the last few days of camp.  We are tired.  The Ukrainians feel the spiritual battle and are backing away some.  Keep praying.

Day 4 of camp.  The students are doing really well getting to know the Ukraine youth.  Language is still a challenge.  It gets hard sometimes because our students don’t know exactly what is happening.  Tonight’s talk on being born again started the Ukrainians talking about spiritual things.  Keep praying.  We are eating lots of potatoes;  not sleeping very much; adjusting to a new culture and praying God would work in us and in them.  My kids love meeting all of their new friends; playing with the MK’s and swimming in the lake.  We do feel your prayers.

Dan Crane talked with Tristan Sunday AM in a brief routine phone call. Tristan reports that the initial training went great. The students are clicking with the Ukrainian students well. There have been no hitches and things are going better than expected. It has been an amazing trip so far. The team moves from the camp back to the town of L'viv on Friday.
