| PRAY 1. Training in Brazil Omar Rodriguez is in Brazil this week teaching a course and attending the annual meeting of the Free Church of Brazil. The course is a part of the equipping program for pastors and lay leaders of the church in Brazil. Pray for Omar’s teaching to be energetic and relevant and for a smooth translation from Spanish into Portuguese. Pray for good conversations with the pastors and leaders so that they would be mutually encouraged and edified. 2. Believers in Gaza Word comes from our worker Tass that Muslim Background Believers have been persecuted VERY MUCH recently. They are living in fear for their lives and will not talk to or have anything to do with anyone Christian. They have discontinued meeting on a weekly basis. At the same time there is so much demand from the young people in Gaza to be a part of the ministry of our cultural center training on peace and democracy that they cannot keep up with the demand! Hallelujah! Please pray for the people of Gaza to remain strong in the face of this evil that is trying to take over and pray for the workers in the harvest. 3. Unrest in Congo Our World Relief brothers and sisters report constant unrest in the area where they are trying to bring hope and stability. The Doctor Without Borders office in Goma was looted by 6 people—one of them carried a gun. In Bunagana-Rubare where WR is building a school a minibus was looted by gun men. In Walikale about 70 kids were forced into the rebel force. Pray for the World Relief staff to be protected and courageous in this time. Pray for safety and peace in the region. 4. Outreach in Ukraine A Franklin Graham Crusade will be held in Kiev on June 7 to 9. Pray for a harvest of souls. The Mosses’ Grace Church in Odessa is one of many who will do a satellite broadcast. Please pray also for the English language outreach this Summer. The classes will start on June 9th and continue to August. Pray that many unbelievers will come and meet their Savior! 5. Short-term Teams Pray for all our teams as they prepare and build their support teams before leaving. 6. Kimberly & John Ross The visa that allows them to live in Thailand expires this month. Pray for them as they wade through the necessary paperwork to get their new visas. |
