Africa Hope

History

The Africa Hope ministry was started in 2004 as many in our congregation were moved to do more to reach out in love to those less fortunate than us. Up to this point FEFC had not been directly involved in the Great Lakes Region of African.  However this region was identified as one of the most disadvantaged areas in the world, having suffered the affects of genocide, famine, poverty and disease. 

An opportunity was identified to partner with World Relief, and through this partner with other churches, to reach out in compassion to the local churches in this region of Africa.  Since this time we have been able to expand our involvement with partnerships with other organizations, and directly to those in greatest need in this area. 

As a result lives have been improved in Africa, lasting programs to provide support have been established, individual spiritual growth has been experienced in our church as well as Africa, and many have come to receive Christ.  The result has been an overall strengthening of the Church International and Glory to God for the hope that has been obtained and lives that have been improved.
