Africa Hope Peace Health and Reconciliation Program (PHARP)
PHARP provides spiritual and vocational training for women in Rwanda, especially those most affected by the Genocide. Fostering Godly peace in hurting communities In 1994 Rwanda was torn apart by a civil war that brought about the slaughter of over 800,000 people. The effects of the genocide are horrendous and PHARP-Rwanda is seeking to bring women from various backgrounds: such as widows, single mothers (whose husbands are in prison) and women with HIV/AIDS together. PHARP-Rwanda is working to reconcile perpetrators and victims by providing the opportunity for them to work, learn, eat, and worship together.
