Outreach DIFFERENCE MAKERS A music ministry to retirement homes, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Once a month, several different teams of vocalists, instrumentalists and anyone who has a love for seniors go to elderly care facilities for a half hour of singing, sharing and encouraging those who reside in these senior care facilities.
Our Volunteers in Pastoral Service form the patchwork of a warm and comfy quilt we call VIPS—people in our congregation who are filled with compassion as well as a desire to share the love of Jesus Christ at every opportunity. VIPS work alongside several members of our pastoral staff in their various areas of ministry with a desire to be the hands and feet of Christ to those in our church.
A visitation ministry open to singles, couples and families who wish to visit a member of the community who is homebound. The volunteers are committed to visiting this person once a month and calling them twice a month for a period of one year. We are in partnership with assisted-living and skilled nursing facilities within a 5-mile radius of our church—part of our intentional desire to be externally focused. A series of Bible studies held in various assisted living and skilled nursing facilities designed to introduce residents to Jesus and present the Gospel.
A unique opportunity to minister to senior adults in facilities by giving them the option to “shop” for their loved ones. Gifts, gift-wrapping and shipping of presents to anywhere in the world are all for free. |
