Everyone desires success. But, with success comes a tendency to be prideful, and pride prevents the work God would do in and through us.

Humility, on the other hand, opens us up to be participants in God’s work. Success in God’s work lends itself to humility. This is a hard lesson for a culture obsessed with success.

It was also a difficult lesson for the hard minded business leader Simon Peter. Peter, who was a successful fisherman, had a lot to learn when it came to leadership in God’s kingdom.

Are you tired of more examples of leadership? Are you in need of a refreshing look at what true leadership looks like?

Listen to Gene Getz as he leads us through a character study of the Apostle Peter, who demonstrates the proper posture of what it means to be a leader in God’s kingdom.
